HBCU Week NOW Social Media Case Study
Problem:
Our existing client, Maryland Public Television, partnered with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) to create HBCU Week NOW, a YouTube Channel that creates awareness of HBCUs for people across the world. However, as a new brand, HBCU Week NOW: A Public Media Partnership, needed to establish brand awareness as well as a following to popularize it with the masses and create loyalists of the brand.
Solution:
Big Media Agency (BMA) created a YouTube advertising campaign to drive traffic to subscriber sign-ups as well as increase video video views.
Results:
BMA garnered 10,000 followers in 14 days for HBCU Week NOW, and in the process drove hundreds of thousands of video views, including more than 700,000 on the channel’s most-viewed video. The channel has attracted nearly 1 million views since August of 2023. These results also secured the channel’s position as one of the top 10% of YouTube channels.
